Jaigaon – Thimphu.

This Morning after Breakfast, Drive to Thimphu via Gedu. Thimphu: Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, occupies a valley in the country’s western interior. In addition to being the government seat, the city is known for its Buddhist sites. The massive Tashichho Dzong is a fortified monastery and government palace with gold-leaf roofs. The Memorial Chorten, a whitewashed structure with a gold spire, is a revered Buddhist shrine dedicated to Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. It is located about 9000 feet and view of Chukka Dam and Photo-Stop at Wankha Waterfalls. On arrival at Thimphu Check-In to the hotel and Relax or Free time at Leisure or evening is free for the local market around Thimphu.

Thimphu local Sightseeing.

This Morning after Breakfast, Proceed for Local Sightseeing of Thimphu. Lord Buddha Statue: The Buddha Dordenma is located amidst the ruins of Phodrang, the palace of Sherab Wangchuck, the thirteenth desi Druk. Overlooking the southern approach to Thimphu. On completion, it will be one of the largest statues in the world, at a height of 169 feet (51.5 meters), accommodating 100,000 8-inch tall and 25,000 12-inch tall gilded Buddhas respectively in the interior. The statue is surrounded by 943 acres of forest area that comprises the kuensel phodrang nature park. The Bhutan Postal Museum: The museum showcases the images that tell this story, along with rare artifacts & Bhutan’s rare & unique stamps. In the process it highlights Bhutan’s rich traditions and cultural heritage. It also provides nostalgic glimpses into Bhutanese history. You will see some legendary runners of the pre-postal era and postal technology that held Bhutanese society together. You will learn how the Monarchs of Bhutan kept in touch with their subjects, how the Government informed the citizens & how people communicated with each other over the centuries. The Bhutan Postal Museum was established as a part of the celebrations of His Majesty The King Jigme Singye Wangchuck’s 60th birth anniversary in 2016. The National Library: with extensive collection of Buddhist literature mostly in block-printed format, the library contains works of several hundred years old literary treasures of Bhutan. It also has a small collection of foreign books. The library has texts relevant to Mahayana Buddhism and a rich collection of lithographs from which scriptures and prayer flags were printed in the old days. The National Library was established in 1967 to preserve ancient dzongkha & Tibetan texts. This library building was built in 2001. The world’s biggest published book is also in this library. Bhutan, the book weighs 68 kilograms & is over two meters tall. Handicraft Emporium: The National handicraft emporium is run by the National Woman’s Association of Bhutan as a Non-government organization that is run under the royal supervision of Her Royal Highness Ashu Sonam Choden Wangchuck. It show case the finest handicraft which includes locally manufactured hand woven fabrics, wooden mask, cane & bamboo products, traditional wooden utensils, handmade paper, prayer wheels etc. School of Art & Craft: The National Institute for Zorig Chusum is located at Pedzoe Lam where it allows you to observe students operating 4 - 6 year courses that provide instruction in Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts. Choki Traditional Art School is located in the village of Kabesa. Students specialize in painting, woodcarving & statue making. The Motithang Takin Preserve: For animal lovers, Motithang Takin Preserve is one of the best places to visit in Thimphu. This attractive preserved area was built as a small zoo but later it was converted into an animal preserve centre. Takin The National animal of Bhutan, lives in the Motithang Takin Preserve in Thimphu Painting School: It is known as Institute for Zorig Chusum here students are taught courses like traditional drawing, painting, and carving & develop skills in arts & crafts. The Clock Tower: Clock Tower Square is an example of a great architectural marvel. It is a tower with four clock faces, which makes it different from any other building or structure in Bhutan. One of the most popular places among visitors, people usually visit here in the evening to enjoy the beautiful paintings & carvings. There are many restaurants & souvenir shops near this tower, making it one of the most visited sites in the town. Jungshi handmade paper Factory: This small factory produces traditional Bhutanese paper handmade from the bark of the daphne bush. You can see the whole process, from soaking and boiling the bark to sorting, crushing, pulping, layering, pressing and drying. Products for sale here include lovely decorated paper with embedded leaves and even dried chillies, plus cards, notebooks, lampshades and calendars.

Thimphu – Punakha – Thimphu.

This Morning after Breakfast, proceed for excursion to Punakha and Visit Dochu-la Pass: Dochu-la pass (3,088m/ 10,130 ft) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the chorten, Mani wall and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road. If skies are clear, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m ), Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m ), Zongphugang (7, 060 m ), a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana - finally Gangkar puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m. Punakha Dzong: It is the most beautiful Dzong located in two rivers named Pho Chu (male) and Mo Chu (female) in Punakha, Mo Chu is widely preferred for first-timers, kids and elderly people. Upon visiting the Punakha Dzong, visitors will not only be mesmerised by the Bhutanese architectural marvel but will get an opportunity to explore the sacred history of this ancient place. Punakha Suspension Bridge: One of the oldest suspension bridges in the world, Punakha Suspension Bridge in Bhutan was believed to be built by the Buddhist Monk, Thangtong Gyalpo. This ancient hanging bridge is draped with prayer flags all along and provides a perfect spot for bird watching and nature photography. This historical bridge is worldwide known for its picturesque appearance. Later return back at the Hotel.

Punakha – Paro and local sightseeing.

This Morning after Breakfast, Proceed to Paro and Visit Paro Airport View: This is one of the most stunning airports in the World and also the country’s first and only international airport. With a breath-taking view, this airport became a must-visit place in Paro. National Museum of Bhutan (Ta-Dzong): An ancient watchtower that now displays hundreds of ancient Bhutanese artifacts and artwork including traditional costumes, armour, weaponry, and handcrafted implements for daily life. The collections represent the rich cultural traditions of the country. Ta Dzong - Ta Dzong, once upon a time was a watchtower, built to protect Rinpung Dzong in war times, it was built in 1649 and in the year 1968 it was inaugurated as Bhutan’s National Museum. Drukgyal Dzong: Drukgyal Dzong was a Buddhist Monastery. It is also translated as the ‘Victorious Fortress’. This is the place where several victories over marauding Tibetan invaders. Paro (Excursion to Chelela Pass).

This Morning after breakfast, proceed for Excursion to Chelele Pass. Chele la (pass) at an elevation 3,988 meters is considered to be one of the highest memorable passes in Bhutan. About an hour's drive along a thickly-forested road, is this Pass-a botanical paradise. The pass provides stunning views of the sacred mountain Jomolhari and Jichu Drake. It is also marked by hundreds of prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Here, visitors can see cascades of wild roses; purple and yellow primulas; and swathes of deep blue iris covering the forest floor. The top of the pass bloom with rhododendrons in a variety of colours pale pink, deep pink, burnt orange, mauve, white and scarlet. Hike to Taktsang Monastery: (at own Cost) This most famous of Bhutan's monasteries is spectacularly perched on the side of a cliff 900 m above the Paro valley floor. Taktsang is a place of pilgrimage which Bhutanese try to visit at least once in a lifetime. It is said that in the 8th century Guru Rinpoche flew on the back of a tigress from eastern Bhutan to this place and meditated in a cave here for 3 months, hence its name, "Tiger's Nest". The site, which has long been recognized as a most sacred place, was visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646. The principal Lhakhang of the present monastic complex dates from 1692. The main structure was severely damaged by fire in 1998, but after many years of painstaking renovation work, the complex has now been fully restored to its former. Ugyen Pema Woedling Zangthopelri Paro Overview: Ugyen Pema Woedling Zangthopelri is unquestionably one of the most spectacular monasteries in Paro. Often left unnoticed by tourists, this sacred site watches the daily hustle-bustle silently from a small corner of the town. The marvelous structures of Buddha and the huge statue of Guru Tshen Geyed inside the monastery is one of its highlights. It's often called the hidden gem of Paro, as it cannot be easily found on maps nor is it always open. Later return Back at the Hotel.

Easy Cancellation

Cancellation done by/ for/ due to:

A. Guest cancels the tour due to any personal reason:

1.    After booking guest may have any personal reason like non sanction of leave, exam postponement, illness, family emergency etc. which leads to cancellation of their tour/ package.

2.    Date of the cancellation request email sent by the guest (unless decision withheld or changed), will be considered as the date of cancellation and the cancellation charge will be applicable accordingly.           

B. Considering the safety of the tourists, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is compelled to postpone/ reschedule the tour under force majeure situation or due to uncontrollable factors at the destination, however guest/s do not wish to continue and cancel the tour:

1.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel/ postpone/ re-schedule any tour under force majeure situation like natural calamity, epidemic, pandemic, terrorist activities, political unrest, curfews, local riots, government orders etc. or uncontrollable factors like airline operation/ schedule change, disruption due to political/ sports/ local/ VIP event etc. at the destination considering the safety of the tourists.

2.    Under any such force majeure situation/ uncontrollable factors, no refund - fully or partially will be applicable. As refund is not applicable, guest will be required to choose the next possible future date of the same tour. If there is any price difference for the future tour, guests will have to pay the same before the tour departure.

3.    To reschedule the tour in force majeure situation/ uncontrollable factors, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will send the request to all the concerned associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. for their cooperation and assistance in postponement of the services. In case these associates are not in a positon to consider the request, then actual cancellation charges may apply.

4.    If guest wants to change the destination, then decision will depend on the cooperation of the associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. Such a decision will require time and will be given as early as possible. If the selected tour’s price is more, then guest will have to pay the difference before the tour departure. In case the tour price is less, then the remaining amount will be kept in a credit shell with Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd.. No refund is applicable for the credit shell.

C. Guest cancels the tour due to non-acceptance of change in itinerary/ service:

1.    For the betterment of the itinerary or under unforeseen situation, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to add/ delete/ exchange the sightseeing place/s or any other service and on this ground guest will not be able to withdraw from the tour.

2.    In this case if the additional sightseeing or service requires extra charge then it will have to be paid by the guest.

3.    If any guest is not willing to accept the said change, then guest will have to cancel the tour and cancellation charges as per the Cancellation Policy will be applicable.

D. Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to visa rejection/ delay:

1.    Rejection/ delay of visa will lead to deemed cancellation and the booking will stand cancelled without any intimation or confirmation from the Guest.      

2.    Visa rejection date will be considered as the date of cancellation and the cancellation charge will be applicable accordingly.

3.    Guest can re-apply by paying additional visa charges, however granting of visa is at the discretion of the respective Consulates and Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for the same.

4.    If visa is not granted even for the second time, the cancellation charge will be based on the date of the rejection of the second visa application.

5.    If no intimation of visa (granted/ rejected) is received from the respective consulate/ embassy before the tour departure, then it is considered as deemed cancellation and cancellation charge will be applicable.

6.    In case of ‘group booking’, if visa of an individual in a group is rejected or delayed and the rest of the group cancels the tour then cancellation charges as mentioned in the Cancellation Policy shall be applicable to the entire group.

7.    When visa is received from consulate, it’s copy is sent to the guest via email by Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd., however sometimes consulates dispatch the passports directly to the guest’s residence. In both the cases it is the responsibility of the guest to check the visa sticker/visa copy and verify that the personal details and visa validity is accurate. Due to any incorrect details, if the immigration office does not allow the guest to leave or enter the country, then Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any refund / losses / consequences.

8.    In certain cases, where air ticket/ visa is processed more than 91 days in advance, there along with regular tour cancellation charges, additional actual charges on account of air/visa fees will be applicable.

E. Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to the non-payment of partial/ full tour price:

1.    Guest is required to pay full tour price at the time of booking/ 60 days/ 45 days prior to the tour departure date. If the payment is not received during the mentioned time frame, then Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the booking without any written notification from the guest and forfeit the paid amount.

2.    In such case, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd.’s cancellation notice date will be treated as the deemed cancellation date and cancellation charges will apply as per the Cancellation Policy.

F. Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to ‘No show’ or absence on Day 1 of the tour:

1.    If any guest fails to join the tour on day one, it is termed as ‘No Show’ and will be treated as deemed cancellation and no refund will be applicable.

2.    All services will stand cancelled and 100% cancellation charges will be applicable, unless the guest notifies Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. about joining the same tour later at their own expense.

G. Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s tour stands cancelled due to discontinuation from ongoing tour:

1.    If Guest discontinues/ terminates the tour for any personal reason, it is termed as deemed cancellation and no refund will be applicable.

2.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. team will assist the guest to book the required services, however all expenses for the same will have to be paid by the guest immediately in advance.

H. Single (Solo) Guest sharing a room with other guest, cancels the tour:

1.    Single guest should ideally book on speciality tours such as Women\'s Special/ Seniors Special/ Adventure Special etc., where Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. guarantees a room partner and guest saves on the single occupancy charge.

2.    If a single guest is travelling alone on a regular tour, then s/he will have to pay single occupancy charge. If s/he gets a room partner for the tour and shares the twin/ double room for all tour days, then the single occupancy charge will be refunded to the guest within 10 working days of tour completion.

3.    In case of cancellation by one of the room sharing partners, no refund of single occupancy charge is applicable.

J. The above cancellation charges include various direct and indirect expenses incurred for preparation and operation of the tour.

K. Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is not liable to give any details or bifurcation of the tour price or the cancellation charge.

L. Any refund payable to the guest as per the Cancellation Policy will be paid within 10 working days of receiving the final confirmation of cancellation request from the guest.

31. Cancellation of the tour by Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd.:

1.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any group tour/ package due to any operational reason or inadequate participation of the guests required to operate a group tour. In such case, cancellation of tour shall be communicated to the guest on their registered email/ telephone/ sms.

 

2.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be liable to pay any interest on the tour amount paid by the guest.

3.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. owes no responsibility for any additional expense related to any other arrangements made by the guest on their own.

4.    A guest willing to take any other tour can do so in consultation with the respective Travel Advisor. Excess / short payment, if any for the new tour will be refunded/ collected, to/ from the guest.

32. Right of Admission and Termination:

1.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to deny any booking or cancel the accepted booking of any guest without divulging any reason or giving any justification.

2.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to terminate the tour of any guest while on tour if the guest does not follow the group tour decorum or misbehaves/ create nuisance to the co-passengers/ Tour Manager/ coach captain/ local citizens/ officials etc. Under such circumstance guest will have to make arrangements for their return travel on their own and no refund is applicable.        

33. Transfer of Tour:

1.    If guests wish to transfer their original tour to a new tour for any reason, then such transfer is treated as cancellation of the original tour and hence a fresh booking of the new tour has to be made. Cancellation charges will apply on the net tour price of the original tour. For the new tour, prevailing tour price and discounts will be applicable.

2.    If guests wish to transfer the tour, they will have to communicate in writing to the Travel Advisor. Such requests will be accepted subject to availability.

34. Merging of Tours:

1.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to merge two or multiple tours when there is inadequate participation of the guests in a single tour or for any operational reason. Seat allocation in the coach will happen as per the booking date priority of the merged tours.

35. Refund:

1.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to determine the quantum of refund payable to the guest in case of cancellation, transfer or amendment of the tour. Refund is calculated on the basis of various factors such as the cancellation date, reduction in tour capacity, contractual agreement and cancellation policies of associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. The decision given by Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. on the quantum of refund according to the Cancellation Policy.

2.    As per GOI regulations any refund from Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. for both, Indian or International tours will be paid only in Indian rupees by A/C payee cheque/ NEFT/RTGS, even if guest has made the tour payment partly or fully in foreign currency.

3.    Refund is always processed in the name of the family head marked on the booking form or in case of ad-hoc/corporate group it may be in the name of the institution/company who has made the payment on behalf of the group.

4.    Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is not liable to pay any interest on the tour amount paid by the guest/s.

5.    Convenience Charge for the payments made by Credit Card, Debit Card, Online Transfer etc., is non-refundable.

6.    Tax Collected at Source (TCS) for international tours is non-refundable as it is deposited with the income tax department and recorded on guest’s registered PAN. TCS once paid cannot be reversed, however can be claimed by the guest while filing their annual Income Tax Returns.

7.    In case of force majeure/ uncontrollable situation Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to levy non-refundable ‘tour transfer charge’ or ‘service charge’ for standalone service. 

8.    For FIT/Customized packages, Holiday Design Fee charged at the time of enquiry is non-refundable in case guests do not book the holiday with Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd..

9.    When tour price includes visa fee and if consulate/ VFS/ embassy procedure requires visa fee payment directly by the guest, then visa fee reduction will be given at the time of booking or will be refunded within 7 working days of submission of visa payment receipt by the guest.

When tour price includes visa fee and guest holds a valid visa for the tour, they are required to submit the visa copy at the time of booking to avail the reduction of the visa fee. In case of unforeseen circumstances if tour reschedules then guest will have to get the visa done according to the new schedule and bear the costs of the same.

  • Prevailing GST rate is at 5% / GST Rate @10% without Pan Card (If PAN CARD is not available / submitted) will be applicable Extra.
  • A new directive has been released by RBI regarding remittance process. It is now mandatory to submit PAN details of all passengers for all LRS (Liberalised Remittance Scheme) remittances irrespective of the value.
  • In case of any changes in the GST rate by government by travelling date, then the customers have to bear the difference of the same.

Please Note:

  • 2 Doses of vaccination are mandatory, Please carry Final Vaccination Certificate.
  • Itinerary may subject to change as per flight timings, weather Condition, Covid 19 Norms / SOP’s, availability of guide & entrance Tickets (if any) etc.
  • 03 Passport size recent Photograph of every Guest (Adult and Child).
  • Original valid photo ID card (Passport/ Voter Id Card / Driving License) with 03 Xerox copies.
  • Pan Card or Aadhar Card are not allowed.
  • For the Children between 05 to 18 years must have to carry their school photo identity card & Below 05 Years birth certificate in English (If passport not present).
  • Arrival / Departure details of the Guest with Mobile No. (Carried during Tour).
  • Please carry limited luggage only, otherwise additional vehicle charges to be borne by Guest.

General advisories regarding your baggage & Bus travel
Maximum 02 (Two) Pieces of Check In & Hand Baggage (01 Piece each) permitted to be carried in the Bus during travel. If any guest wishes to carry additional baggage on board which is not compliant with the permissible limits. it is at discretion of baggage space in the bus subject to availability. Hence would request all guest to fellow the above strictly and avoid inconvenience to other co passengers on Board.
The turn round for breakdown of bus on tour is minimum of 3 Hrs
